ABF Freight is Seeking an Operations Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Operations Supervisor to join ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling resources to ensure timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight. Furthermore, you will assign job tasks, provide training, maintain a safe work environment, and collaborate with the team to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control available resources for loading/unloading freight.
• Maintain appropriate load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign job tasks and monitor performance.
• Provide training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Ensure safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work in a team setting to achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Service Center or transportation experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
