Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join the Aldi team. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will engage in supervising day-to-day store operations, ensuring outstanding customer service, handling staffing requirements, and developing operational strategies while nurturing and coaching the team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise team performance to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Communicate company values to foster teamwork among employees.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain store presentation and product quality.
- Participate in the hiring process and manage employee schedules.
- Establish job responsibilities and performance standards for team members.
- Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.
- Manage store payroll and budget targets.
- Monitor local market trends and make recommendations accordingly.
- Provide a safe and organized work environment.
- Oversee merchandising and inventory management.
Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong customer service and leadership skills.
- Proficient in interpreting and applying company policies.
- Experience in goal-setting and performance management.
- Knowledge of budgeting and operational expenses.
- Skilled in operating store equipment and cash registers.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
- Compliance with local regulations for alcohol sales.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma; prior retail experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in a retail setting.
- Combination of education and experience equivalent.
- Previous management experience desired.
