Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training to successfully manage store operations and lead a team. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily activities, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing staffing, and implementing operational plans while fostering team development.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills in daily operations.
  • Supervise team performance to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Communicate company values to create a cohesive team environment.
  • Handle customer inquiries and ensure resolution.
  • Maintain store appearance, product quality, and signage standards.
  • Participate in recruitment and hiring processes.
  • Develop and adjust schedules to optimize staffing levels.
  • Set performance expectations and provide coaching to direct reports.
  • Conduct store meetings and performance evaluations.
  • Manage store budgets and uphold company policies.
  • Monitor market trends and suggest product improvements.
  • Ensure a safe in-store environment for all stakeholders.
  • Oversee merchandising and inventory management.
  • Follow inventory procedures and company guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and lead by example.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies effectively.
  • Set and achieve performance goals for self and team.
  • Operate a cash register and store equipment proficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization per standards.
  • Comply with alcohol sales regulations.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • 3+ years of retail experience with management exposure.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Prior managerial background is advantageous.

Travel

Store Manager Trainees will undergo training at various locations and must be willing to travel within divisional requirements.
