Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join the Homewood Suites Glen Allen team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the physical structure of our hotel, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our guests. You will perform a variety of tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical work, and equipment maintenance. Additionally, you will collaborate with the hotel staff to maintain the quality and appearance of both the interior and exterior of the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and maintain heating and cooling systems.
• Maintain equipment with standard preventative maintenance procedures.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure a superior guest experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

The role involves standing for long hours, using hands to handle tools, occasional bending and reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities and fluency in English are required.
