Sales Associate

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Sales Associate to join our ALDI team. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the store maintains a clean and organized environment while delivering exceptional customer service. This full-time position offers an average of 32-40 hours per week with a starting wage of $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain product displays
• Provide top-notch customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Conduct inventory counts and ensure accuracy
• Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring security and confidentiality
• Perform physical tasks like stocking merchandise, lifting up to 45 pounds, and general cleaning

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register
• Safely use equipment and perform cleaning duties
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Compliance with state and local regulations for selling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail work experience is a plus
