Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the customer shopping experience through various in-store duties such as cashiering, stocking, and maintaining the store's cleanliness. Your collaborative spirit and exceptional customer service skills will contribute to the success of our team and brand.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Give feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management.
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures.
• Follow company policies, uphold security and confidentiality standards.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently operate a cash register and equipment like hand jacks and scrubbers.
• Maintain cleanliness according to company standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Work well independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrate organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
• Comply with state and local regulations for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience is beneficial.
• A combination of education and relevant experience is considered.
