Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital role in managing store activities, developing operational plans, training and leading a team, and ensuring overall store performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to enhance store operations.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
  • Identify training opportunities to boost team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company strategy and values.
  • Monitor the local competitive environment and suggest adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Participate in the selection process for store staff.
  • Manage inventory, product handling, and cash control policies.
  • Ensure customer service excellence and resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and appropriate stock levels.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, guiding and supporting team members as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies and uphold data security and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement of 18.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in retail management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying company policies.
  • Operational and budgeting understanding.
  • Competent in cash register operation and equipment handling.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail experience.
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Prior management experience is a plus.
