Job Description
We are hiring a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day store activities, improving operating results, developing the team, and ensuring overall store performance. Responsibilities
- Assist with developing and implementing action plans to enhance operating results.
- Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for direct reports.
- Identify training opportunities to improve team performance.
- Understand and communicate the company values to create teamwork.
- Monitor the competitive environment and suggest necessary adjustments.
- Participate in the interview process for store personnel.
- Ensure inventory procedures and cash control policies are followed.
- Maintain store cleanliness and signage standards.
- Assist in achieving store payroll and total loss budget goals.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older to be employed at Aldi.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Prior retail management experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of retail experience.
- Prior management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of budgeting and personnel costs.
