Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for various in-store tasks including merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness to ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays.
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Report feedback on products, inventory, and other store matters.
- Participate in inventory counts and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures.
- Follow company policies while ensuring document security.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to offer prompt and courteous customer service.
- Proficiency in operating a cash register.
- Competence in using store equipment safely.
- Experience in general cleaning tasks as per company standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently and in a team setting.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
- Meet local requirements for alcohol sales.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail work experience is beneficial.
- Equivalent knowledge gained through education and experience.
