Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Team Member to join our ALDI team. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our store is merchandised, stocked, and maintained to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. In addition to cashiering and cleaning duties, you will collaborate with team members and management to deliver top-notch customer service.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with shopping
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and store operations
- Participate in inventory counts and uphold cash policies
- Adhere to company policies and maintain the security of documents and data
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior retail experience is preferred
- Ability to provide courteous customer service and operate a cash register
- Capable of operating store equipment and maintaining cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask
- Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to retail knowledge
