Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction costs on a national level, collaborating with divisional real estate teams to evaluate construction bids and ensure alignment with project scope and regional cost trends. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction documents and possess an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Construction Managers on negotiating with contractors.
• Provide divisions with pricing data and practices for consistent pricing structure.
• Analyze bids and create reports for project award decisions.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in construction documents.
• Monitor market pricing and provide forecasts for market fluctuations.
• Assist in training and developing team members.

Job-specific Competencies

• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction cost estimation tools.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and specifications.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field required. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.

Physical Requirements

• Office and remote work settings with occasional physical activities.
• Periodic travel required.
