Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate (Entry Level) to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring that the store is well-merchandised, stocked, cashiering, and maintained to provide an excellent shopping experience for our customers. Collaborating with the ALDI team, you will work to deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to the efficient operation of the store.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures
- Comply with established company regulations while maintaining document security
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Proficiency in operating a cash register and store equipment
- Capable of meeting state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Work experience in a retail setting beneficial
