Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in maintaining the store's operations and enhancing the overall customer shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and ensuring the store's cleanliness to provide exceptional service.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Report product issues, inventory discrepancies, and operational challenges to management
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses
- Adhere to company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality
- Perform other duties assigned by the management
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register
- Proficiency in using store equipment
- Compliance with cleaning standards and company procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to work independently and within a team
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to multitask
- Meet state and local criteria for handling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail work experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
