Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the store's success by merchandising products, cashiering, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position with an average of 32-40 hours per week and a starting wage of $17.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and store operations
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies and minimize losses
- Comply with company policies and uphold document security
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment
- Perform general cleaning duties to maintain standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Stay organized, detail-oriented, and multitask effectively
- Meet requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail work experience is a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
