Job Description
We are looking for a proactive Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of the store, you will be responsible for various duties such as merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness in the store, and organize merchandise displays.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate efficiently with store management.
- Provide feedback on product quality, inventory management, and any operational issues.
- Participate in store inventory procedures and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Follow cash handling policies to prevent losses and adhere to company guidelines.
- Comply with all company policies while maintaining the security and confidentiality of data.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
- Proficient in operating a cash register and store equipment.
- Capable of performing general cleaning tasks according to standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team or independently.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail experience is advantageous.
- A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
