Job Description

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Toxicology to join our innovative team. This leadership role involves managing global nonclinical regulatory toxicology for our diverse portfolio of products, supporting the development of life-changing medicines for serious diseases. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure regulatory compliance, high-quality study deliverables, and strategic risk management throughout the drug development process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage direct reports in the design, monitoring, and reporting of toxicology studies.
  • Contribute to global nonclinical regulatory strategies from research to registration stages.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret toxicology data for regulatory submissions and internal decision-making.
  • Provide toxicology expertise in cross-functional teams and guide early development strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal functions and external partners to ensure regulatory compliance and program success.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, methodologies, and scientific literature.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in drug development toxicology.
  • Expertise in oncology and CNS indications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of global regulatory requirements and GLP regulations.
  • Experience in authoring nonclinical sections of regulatory submissions and responding to inquiries.
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex scientific information effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a sense of urgency and adaptability.
