Job Description
As a Store Associate at ALDI, you will play a key role in enhancing the customer shopping experience through exceptional customer service and efficient store operations. You will be responsible for merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to create a welcoming environment for customers.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Participate in inventory management and adhere to cash policies and procedures
- Follow company policies while ensuring document security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Ability to provide courteous customer service
- Efficient cash register operation
- Safe operation of equipment
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies
- Excellent communication skills
- Organizational ability, attention to detail, and multitasking skills
- Compliance with state and local alcoholic beverage selling requirements
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail work experience preferred
- Combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
