Dispatcher

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable Dispatcher to join the Dispatch department at RICH TRANSPORT LLC. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dispatcher will be responsible for managing 50+ drivers, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining efficient communication with load planners and coordinators. The role involves entering critical transportation information, monitoring driver activity, and assisting in load planning as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Enter Bill of Lading, ETAs, PTAs, and Trailer numbers accurately on a daily basis.
• Notify appropriate departments of any delays and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Conduct daily check calls on drivers to track progress and address any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other driver managers/dispatchers to optimize operational efficiency.
• Maintain records of driver mileage and adhere to company procedures diligently.
• Assist in fulfilling additional reporting or form requirements as requested by management.

Requirements

• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and McLeod database.
• Experience in handling dispatch calls swiftly and accurately, with a focus on data integrity.
• Capability to work collaboratively, prioritize tasks, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
