Job Description
As a Full-Time Store Associate (Entry Level) at Aldi, you will play a crucial role in creating an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store. By working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will provide exceptional customer service and contribute to the overall success of the store.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Provide feedback on products, inventory, and any issues
- Participate in store inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures
- Comply with company policies while ensuring document and data security
Physical Demands
- Stock merchandise, place products on shelves, lift up to 45 pounds
- Sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register
- Safe operation of equipment
- Ability to interpret company policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Meet state and local requirements for handling alcohol
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail work experience preferred
