1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are currently seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. This is a full-time position with average hours ranging from 30-35 per week. The starting wage is up to $18.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on the shift and schedule differential pay.

Shift Schedule

Currently hiring for Schedule B. Various schedule options are available, including Schedule A1, A2, B, C, and D, each with unique workdays and off-days.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, load, and unload merchandise for shipment.
• Perform general cleaning duties and maintain warehouse appearance.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts.
• Cooperate effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
• Provide input for process improvements.
• Inspect product quality, safety, and sanitation.
• Independently make decisions within assigned responsibilities.
• Assist in achieving budgeted goals.
• Operate equipment safely following guidelines.
• Follow company policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

Applicants must be 18 years or older. Demonstrated competencies include acts conscientiously, collaborates with the team, positive attitude and resilience, drives for success, and organizes and executes efficiently. Knowledge/skills/abilities include interpreting company policies, communication skills, basic arithmetic, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and handle products weighing up to 45 pounds, move merchandise, sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and work in varying temperatures. Must safely operate powered industrial equipment.
